Monarch Butterflies

Monarch butterflies are found in N.Z, Australia, America, Canada, Mexico and other Islands.
When monarch butterflies are first born they are in a egg that hangs on the underside of a milkweed. Monarch butterflies are first caterpilliars and they hang in a J shape. A caterpilliar is changed into a chrysalis. A chrysalis has a lovely colour. The caterpilliar transform into a butterfly. The butterfly struggles out of the chrysalis and attaches to it. After about 6 hours

when the butterfly's wings are dried it flies away. Monarch butterflies can fly from Australia to

N.Z in about 3-4 hours. Did you know Monarch live about 6 months and over not like flies wich only lives for a few days. Did you ever know if you catch a butterfly you can stick it on your hand

and it's got a picture of a butterfly on your hand if you take it off just like a tatoo. Monarch

butterflies are colourful and beatiful.
